Preliminary / Detail Design Project
The Erbil-Media Network complex, with its initial concept designed by Munich-based Concept A acoustics+architecture, is envisioned as a contemporary media hub reflecting the corporate identity of a prominent broadcasting organization. The architectural approach organizes broadcasting, production, and management functions within a holistic structural system, seamlessly integrating high-tech infrastructure requirements with flexible usage scenarios.
The spatial configuration is designed to establish strong visual and functional links between studio areas, newsrooms, offices, and communal spaces. Principles of transparency and spatial continuity foster a modern working environment that enhances internal communication.
In the facade design, the use of rhythm and articulation grants the building a powerful corporate expression while contributing to environmental performance criteria, such as solar control and energy efficiency. The interior design reflects the dynamism of broadcasting and media production through a modern, tech-driven atmosphere, featuring open-plan layouts, flexible workspaces, and social areas designed to optimize user comfort.
