Unilever Home and Personal Care Products Factory

Located in the Konya Organized Industrial Zone, this facility represents Unilever’s largest investment worldwide. Bringing together three main categories of Unilever’s supply chain, the production plant covers the manufacturing of powder and liquid home care products as well as personal care products.

In the complex, whose production technology was designed by the international firm Jacobs, there are production buildings for the three main categories, packaging and storage buildings, auxiliary technical buildings, and an administrative building. The production and warehouse buildings for each category are planned to form a closed-loop system through three separate conveyor connections.

Adopting an environmentally friendly approach guided by Konya’s climate and geographical characteristics, the project incorporates rainwater and surface water recycling, solar energy utilization, and dedicated waste stations for segregation. The project was designed with the goal of achieving LEED Platinum certification for the administrative building and LEED Silver certification for the entire facility.
